Private

Derbyshire Yeomanry 2940 & 75893

Family History Note: Irene Wilkinson
The son of Mary and Henry Wilkinson, Percy was born in October 1896. His father, Henry (who had himself been widowed twice), was the older brother of his mother's first husband, David. At the time of the 1901 and 1911 censuses, most of Mary and David's children were living with Mary and Henry, and he is recorded as being their father.
William married Doris Hitchman of Ashford, in Cheshire, in 1919 and lived there for some time. By 1927 he was back in Ripley running his own confectioner's shop in Oxford Street, which at some point also became a herbalist shop. He died in 1978.
