Biography
William Edward, usually known as Edward, was one of the Stinson brothers. He was born at Alderwasley, raised at Ambergrove before settling in South Normanton. He married Mary Jane Coupe in 1906 at St Michael, South Normanton. Enlisting in Nov 1914, he was posted to the 14th Foresters, though was discharged in Jan 1915 as unfit for service, due to poor vision. Returning the South Normanton area he was as a miner-stone worker for many years.

His brothers George Robert Stinson and Jonathan Levi Stinson are also on the Roll
