Biography
Jim was born at Bullbridge in 1894, the son of James and Lucy Needham. Before the war he worked as a horse driver.
As Jim only went overseas after 1 January 1916, it is possible he was a Derby Scheme man especially as his four digit Teriitotorial Force number ended up as a 70000 series. The 70059 is consistent with 16th the Battalion. [
]Medal Roll Index Card
He was awarded the Victory and British War Medals.
