Biography
A blacksmith’s son, George was brother to Walter Bunting. His family lived at Robin Hood, Whatstandwell. He never married and worked as a stone mason. He is listed on the original Roll of Honour in St Mary’s, Crich, as ‘Gnr. Geo. Bunting’ though no record of service has been located, beyond him being listed as an absent military voter on the 1918 Register of Electors for the Crich Polling District. His regiment is yet to be identified.
George Bunting's brother Walter Bunting is also on the Roll of Honour.
