Dear Sirs
Many thanks for your Xmas parcels, the one containing eatables I received on the 26th inst, & the other containing vests on the 24th. I can assure you they were both very acceptable. We have been having very unsettled weather out here these last few weeks. I am pleased to say I am still enjoying good health hoping you are the same. We have had a fairly good time this Xmas, but I sincerely hope that hostilities will have ceased by this time next year. Well Dear Sir in conclusion I wish you a Happy & Prosperous New Year.
