Francis Barber joined the forces on 28th February 1918. He was 32 when he joined, another of those men who were called up in the latter stages of the war.
Records at Lea Mills indicate that had not been released by 28th August, 1919.
In June 1917 Francis was given six months deferral for his essential War work but was called up in the later stages of he War. Upon demob he returned to work at Lea Mills.
